When you first arrive at the inn you will undoubtedly discover our guest book, something of which we are very proud! Since our opening in May 2007 we are still yet to receive a negative comment in this ever-expanding book. A selection of our most recent feedback is detailed below:

"Not actually on Lindisfarne (Holy Island), or for that matter in Beal – it’s a mile down the road on the A1 – this motel-style pub is a great place to stay if you are looking to explore the area.
The pub is large and friendly with plenty of outdoor space if the weather is good. I found the staff to be friendly, welcoming and helpful. I’m not sure there are very many locals, people there seemed to be mostly travellers stopping over for a night before exploring other areas.
Rooms were clean and neutral, and had a great shower – perfect after a long day walking around Northumbria. Despite the location (pretty much right on the A1), the rooms were nice and quiet.
The food here was fresh and tasty. The dining room was doing a roaring trade on a Friday night but the staff remained friendly and the dinner menu had some interesting specials – not just your basic pub grub. The full breakfast was good, but nothing particularly special; it will certainly keep you going for a day outside.
A great place if you want to stay for a night in the area, but I wouldn’t track it down to spend a holiday here."
